The midterm elections were held on 6th November 2018. There was huge voter turnout and it is record voter turnout after the 1914 Midterm Elections in US. During these Midterm Elections 35 Senate seats and the House of Representatives which hold 435 seats, along with 39 State and Territory Governor seats were contested in these Midterm Elections. The current President of US Donald Trump after taking charge these are the first ever Midterm Elections held in United States. Along with these Midterm Elections local elections were also held. In the House of Parliament Midterm Elections Democrats gained 40 seats in the House of Representatives whereas the Republicans continued their majority in the Senate and added 2 seats to the existing. Coming to the gubernatorial elections Democrats gained 7 States Govern seats.
