The General Election Commission of Republic of Indonesia is responsible for conducting the elections in Indonesia.  The Electoral Management Body is classified in to 3 various departments. The First one is The General Election Commission (KPU) which conducts the elections in Indonesia; the second one is the Elections Supervisory Board (BAWASLU) which is responsible for supervising the electoral conduct and the third and last one is The Honorary Council of Election Management Bodies (DKPP) which is responsible for resolving the ethical violations.

KPU – General Election Commission of Republic of Indonesia:

The General Election Commission (KPU) is an independent constitutional body which is responsible to conduct the National elections and the Local Elections in the Republic of Indonesia. The General Election Commission (KPU) consists of 7 Commissioners appointed by the President of Indonesia. The Commissioners of KPU will serve for 5 years.

BAWASLU – Election Supervisory Board of Republic of Indonesia:

The Election Supervisory Board (BAWASLU) is an independent constitutional body which is responsible to oversee the electoral complaints. The Election Supervisory Board (BAWASLU) consists of 5 Commissioners. The Commissioners of BAWASLU serves for 5 years.

DKPP – The Honorary Council of Election Management Bodies:

The Honorary Council of Election Management Bodies (DKPP) which is responsible for resolving the ethical violations. The Election Supervisory Board (BAWASLU) consists of 7Members. Out of these 7 Members One Member will be from KPU, and one Member will be from BAWASLU and other 5 Members will be Community Leaders. The Members of DKPP serves for 5 years.
